Display

The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable “inner” display with FHD+ resolution of 2640 × 1080 pixels, supporting a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. It also achieves a peak brightness of around 2,600 nits in ideal conditions. On the outside, there is a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display (outside screen) with a resolution near 720 × 748, but that external panel runs at 60 Hz. This setup allows you to interact with notifications, widgets, and basic tasks without unfolding the device, while the larger inner screen is for full app use, media, and gaming.

Camera

The Flip7 FE comes with a dual rear camera system. The main sensor is 50 MP, f/1.8, with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Dual Pixel autofocus. The second is a 12 MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2) with a 123° field of view. For selfies (front camera), the device uses a 10 MP, f/2.2 lens. Video recording is supported at 4K up to 60 fps, and lower resolutions with higher frame rates (e.g. 1080p at 120/240 fps) are available. The device also supports FlexCam mode (shooting with the phone partially folded, using the rear cameras while viewing from the cover screen).

Performance

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, built on a 4 nm process. It uses a deca-core CPU arrangement and the Xclipse 940 GPU. The FE version is configured with 8 GB of RAM. This hardware handles daily tasks, AI features, multitasking, and camera processing well, though it is a step down from flagship-grade chips. Because it is a Fan Edition model, sustained heavy workloads (e.g. extended gaming, heavy video editing) may see more thermal or performance limits compared to flagship foldables.

Operating System

The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE ships with Android 16, layered with Samsung’s One UI 8. It supports Samsung’s foldable and AI feature set (e.g. Galaxy AI, Now Brief on the cover screen, camera enhancements, multitasking features adapted to the foldable form). Samsung also commits to seven years of software updates (major Android upgrades + security updates).

Connectivity

The device supports 5G (sub-6 GHz, region dependent), Wi-Fi (multi-band, Wi-Fi 6E / newer standards), Bluetooth 5.x, NFC, GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BDS / QZSS for positioning, and USB Type-C 3.2 for data and charging. It also supports wireless charging (15 W) and reverse wireless charging (4.5 W). For biometric security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone also has an IP48 rating (water resistant to a degree).

Storage

Storage options for the Flip7 FE include 128 GB and 256 GB of internal storage (UFS based). There is no microSD slot, so you cannot expand storage externally. The actual user-available storage will be somewhat lower because the operating system and preinstalled apps take part of it.

Sound & Speaker

The Flip7 FE provides stereo speaker output for media and calls when in open mode. In folded or closed modes, sound is still delivered via the built-in speakers (though performance may be slightly affected by orientation). It supports audio over Bluetooth for headphones or wireless speakers. The audio system is designed to complement the device’s foldable design, giving decent sound for media consumption and calls.
