The iPhone 6 is equipped with an 8-megapixel iSight rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, featuring autofocus with Focus Pixels, digital image stabilization, HDR, and panorama mode. It supports 1080p HD video recording at 30fps or 60fps and slow-motion video at 120fps or 240fps. The front-facing camera is a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera, capable of 720p HD video recording, with face detection and improved low-light performance.
Performance
Powered by the Apple A8 chip with 64-bit architecture, the iPhone 6 delivers smooth performance for everyday tasks and apps. It also includes the M8 motion coprocessor, which efficiently tracks motion data for fitness apps without draining the main processor. While it's not suited for heavy multitasking or modern 3D games, it offers decent performance for its time.
Operating System
At launch, the iPhone 6 came with iOS 8, introducing features like Apple Pay, Health app, and Continuity across Apple devices. It is upgradable up to iOS 12.5.6, offering a user-friendly interface, strong security features, and a wide range of supported apps. However, it's no longer supported for major updates and might miss newer app compatibility and features.
Sound & Speaker
The iPhone 6 features a single bottom-firing speaker, delivering clear and fairly loud sound for calls, music, and videos. While not stereo, the speaker performance is balanced. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, making it one of the last iPhones to offer this feature, providing easy compatibility with standard earphones and headsets.
