Display

The iPad Air 13 (M3) features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with IPS LCD technology. It has rounded corners, and when measured as a rectangle the diagonal is 13.0-inch (actual viewable area is slightly less). The resolution is 2732 × 2048 pixels, giving good sharpness for text, images, and video. The display supports P3 wide color, True Tone, and an antireflective coating. It delivers up to 600 nits brightness under normal conditions. It is fully laminated and has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating to reduce glare and smudges.

Camera

Rear (back) camera: a 12 MP Wide camera with ƒ/1.8 aperture, autofocus with Focus Pixels, image stabilization, Smart HDR, and 4K video recording capabilities. It supports panorama, Live Photos, and many of Apple’s computational photography enhancements.
Front (selfie / video call) camera: 12 MP ultra-wide lens (ƒ/2.0), designed especially for video calls (Center Stage functionality to keep you centered), supporting 4K video as well.

Performance

Inside, the iPad Air 13 uses Apple’s M3 chip. This includes an 8-core CPU (4 performance cores + 4 efficiency cores), 9-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The chip supports hardware features like ray tracing and advanced rendering via Metal, and it accelerates media processing (video encode/decode, ProRes, HEVC, etc.). Compared to the earlier M1 iPad Air models, Apple claims substantial gains in CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine performance. The M3 also enables “Apple Intelligence” features more effectively.

Operating System

The device ships with iPadOS 18 (or a version in that generation), which integrates deeply with the M3 silicon and supports multitasking (Stage Manager, split view, etc.). It also supports Apple’s “Apple Intelligence” features — writing tools, image editing enhancements, etc. The OS is optimized for both touch, Apple Pencil, and keyboard/trackpad workflows.

Connectivity

As a Wi-Fi model, it supports Wi-Fi 6E (with 2×2 MIMO) for fast wireless networking. Bluetooth (version ~5.3) is available for connecting accessories (keyboards, pens, audio devices). The device includes a USB-C port (for charging, external accessories, displays, etc.). It also supports Touch ID built into the power button. Because this is the Wi-Fi-only version, it does not have built-in cellular (5G) connectivity, although cellular versions exist in the same generation.

Sound & Speaker

This iPad Air 13 features stereo speakers (in landscape orientation) to deliver rich, balanced audio for media, podcasts, and video calls. The audio system includes multiple microphones with noise suppression and good voice pickup, making it suitable for recording, conferencing, and voice input. Spatial audio features and support for high-quality audio formats are part of the system.

Storage

Apple offers several internal storage configurations for the iPad Air 13 M3 Wi-Fi model. Typical options are 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. There is no external memory (microSD or similar) slot, so what you choose is what you have long term. The system and preinstalled software will use part of the available storage, so usable space will be slightly less than the stated capacity.
