The Galaxy S23 features a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, delivering sharp visuals and smooth performance. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, which means scrolling, animations, and transitions feel fluid. Peak brightness is very high (up to ~1750 nits), ensuring good visibility in bright outdoor light. The panel supports HDR10+ and one-billion-colour rendering, with protection via Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to help guard against drops and scratches.
Camera
On the rear, the Galaxy S23 is equipped with a triple-camera setup: a 50 MP wide-angle main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 10 MP telephoto lens (offering 3× optical zoom) and a 12 MP ultra-wide lens (covering ~120° field of view). The front (selfie) camera has a 12 MP sensor. These cameras deliver high quality photo and video performance including 8K video capture and advanced computational features.
Performance
The UK version of the Galaxy S23 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset (built on a 4 nm process), paired with 8 GB of RAM (and in some regions 12 GB depending on variant) and internal storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB (and sometimes 512 GB). The GPU is the Adreno 740, enabling excellent gaming and graphics performance. With this hardware, the phone handles demanding apps, multitasking, and high-quality camera/video workflows with ease.
Operating System
The device ships with Android 13, layered with Samsung’s One UI interface. It receives regular updates and security patches, and supports Samsung’s software services including Knox security, device optimisation and One UI features like enhanced multitasking, Samsung DeX and other ecosystem integrations.
Connectivity
The Galaxy S23 supports 5G, 4G LTE, and earlier mobile network standards, giving broad compatibility in the UK and globally.
