Display
The Pixel Fold offers two displays — one external (cover) and one internal (folded-open) — both OLED and running at up to 120 Hz refresh rate. The outer or cover display is about 5.8 inches with a Full HD+ resolution, while the inner foldable display is about 7.6 inches with a 6:5 aspect ratio and a higher resolution. The foldable display aims to minimize the crease, provide vibrant colors, and support HDR content.
Camera
On the rear is a triple-camera setup: a 48 MP wide primary lens (f/1.7), a 10.8 MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2), and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens (f/3.05) with 5× optical zoom and extended “Super Res Zoom” digitally up to ~20×.
For selfies, there’s a 9.5 MP front camera on the cover display (f/2.2) and an 8 MP interior camera (f/2.0) on the inner display.
Video recording is supported up to 4K at 30/60 fps (rear) and 1080p at 30/60 fps (front).
Pixel’s signature computational photography features — like Night Sight, Portrait mode, Magic Eraser, and Photo Unblur — are included.
”Rear Camera Selfie” is a special mode: you can use the main 48 MP camera for selfies by using the outer display as a viewfinder.
Performance
The Pixel Fold is powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chip (built in ~5 nm process) and includes 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM.
In common use it handles multitasking, split-screen apps, and AI/ML features fairly well. The foldable form does add more demand to battery and hinge systems. Google engineered a custom hinge with durability in mind.
Battery capacity is 4,821 mAh (typical) and supports 30 W wired fast charging and Qi wireless charging. Google claims in moderate use the Fold can last over 24 hours, and with Extreme Battery Saver mode up to 72 hours.
Operating System
The Pixel Fold shipped with Android 13, along with Google’s enhancements for foldables.
Pixel’s software environment offers features like a Taskbar for switching apps, split-screen multitasking (dragging apps to each half of the inner display), and a “tabletop” mode (where the device is partially folded to act like a stand).
Google also integrates its AI tools (translation, etc.) to take advantage of having two displays simultaneously.
Connectivity
In terms of wireless and wired connectivity, the Fold supports 5G (sub-6 and possibly mmWave, depending on region) as well as standard cellular protocols.
It includes Wi-Fi 6E (with MIMO capabilities), Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB-C 3.2, and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS) for precise location services.
A titanium M2 security chip (Titan M2) is built in, along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
For water protection, the Pixel Fold has an IPX8 rating (water resistance, but not officially dust resistant).
Storage
You can get the Pixel Fold in 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. The storage format is UFS 3.1.
There is no microSD slot, so the built-in storage is your maximum.
Sound & Speaker
Audio is delivered via stereo speakers. The Fold also features 3 microphones with noise suppression to improve call clarity and recording quality.
It supports spatial audio to enhance immersive experiences.
